This simulation - the 'PDCA Simulation' - is a (partial) example of a System Dynamics Process Simulation built by aorist consulting . The underlying business process it simulates is the PDCA (Plan / Do Check / Act) Business Process cycle. Why the PDCA cycle? Simply because the PDCA cycle in our experience accurately describes so many processes we encounter in the real world (a few examples are shown below). If we (or you) can simulate that accurately, and conceptualise your business process as a single PDCA cycle, or a chain of them in series and / or parallel, we (or you) can simulate them quickly and easily in high-resolution with ML / AI Assistance - to deliver astonishing improvement and optimisation insights. See the examples below.
As you can see in the few examples above, the PDCA Cycle (and by extension the PDCA Simulation) covers a surprisingly wide range of processes and industries.
If you click on the button below right, you can run and explore the PDCA simulation. This version covers only single-phase processes and uses simplified data (so it's a bit easier to quickly see what's going on), but versions covering many phases, with complex data, are available.
Look for the Run Controls at the left hand side, which enable you to control the simulation. Each Run Control has tooltips, to help you see what to use and when.
As a first step or two, you might consider running a Simulation, and then perhaps a partial Optimisation using the inbuilt ML/AI, to get a feel for what happens and the insights you can obtain about exactly where to improve, and by how much, with a high-resolution simulation from aorist consulting.
